Casino da Figueira da Foz has for many decades been one of the most emblematic entertainment and animation spaces in the country. This venue is the closest to Coimbra and sits by the ocean, only 45 minutes from Hotel Oslo. This is the oldest Casino in the Iberian Peninsula but over the years it has been evolving and transforming itself. Although today it is a modern and elegant glass building, it still showcases in its interior some of its original architectural traits. Currently, modern technology invades the Casino, offering a huge variety of games such as slot machines (more than 300), French banking, blackjack, roulette, poker, among others. The Casino also has two bars and a restaurant, all decorated with elements of local maritime influence: the Royal – Bar & Emotions which has a pleasant terrace and a small stage where musical, dance and gastronomic events usually take place; the “Salão Café”, a centennial space with a modern decoration, where you can have an aperitif and still watch a variety of entertainment and animation programs; the Páteo Restaurant that bets on the traditional Portuguese cuisine with a cheffy twist, resulting in exclusive menus, full of aromas and unique flavors.
