The “Coimbra Natal’24” program offers, to Coimbra and those who visit it, several activities related to the Christmas season, taking place over 59 days, in various locations around the city. Because there is no time more beautiful than this!
This year’s highlight is the second edition of Coimbra Magic Land, with free entry and paid attractions, taking place at “Parque Verde do Mondego” (on the left bank), in the old “Choupalinho”, until the 2nd of January. Like the last edition, Coimbra Magic Land includes an ecological ice rink, Santa’s house, giant inflatables, a Parisian carousel, a Christmas train, the toy factory, a sleigh track, Christmas parades, a Christmas market and food truck taverns. Activities for the whole family that promise to create happy memories.
“Praça do Comércio” hosts once again, until December 22nd, the Christmas Market, which includes around 40 exhibitors of crafts and local cuisine and will also offer activities for the whole family.
The Christmas spirit once again invades the “Mercado Municipal D. Pedro V” with a Christmas program and Christmas decorations. The heart of “Baixa de Coimbra” once again hosts, at “Praça 8 de Maio”, a video mapping show that promises to be even more beautiful and impactful than last year’s.
The inauguration of the Cabral Antunes Nativity Scene, on “Rua da Sofia”, on December 14th and the Christmas Concert “Alegam-se os céus e a terra”, by “Orquestra Clássica do Centro” and “Coro Essences Voices”, on December 21st at 18:00, at “Convento São Francisco”, are other planned actions.
