One of the highlights of October in Coimbra is, without a doubt, the Latada parade. This year the procession will take place on the 18th October, the last day of the Festa das Latas, closing the students’ celebration with a flourish. Thousands of students will parade through the city on this date, showing Coimbra’s tradition to the freshmen, who usually parade in fancy dress made by their senior colleagues and cans tied to their feet. Do not miss this event!
