Rebolim river beach is a “small paradise” hidden in Coimbra. Situated on the right bank of the Mondego River, between the University’s “Polo II” campus and the residential area of Portela, it benefits from a secluded privileged location. It is accessible by bicycle, car or public transport.
Inviting and pleasant throughout the year, Rebolim enchants with its landscape: the green of the trees dominates the landscape, contrasting with the (shallow) water of the Mondego River and its vast sandy beach. All is set for families and friends to get together, particularly on hot summer days, enjoying sunbathing, hours of relaxation in the company of a book or nature walks.
In Rebolim, the support infrastructures are good: sanitary facilities, picnic area, surveillance during the bathing season, plenty of parking with spaces for people with reduced mobility.
In 2021, “Praia Fluvial do Rebolim” was recognized by the “Praia Bandeira Azul 2021” that distinguishes “beaches and marinas that meet a set of requirements for environmental quality, safety, well-being, support infrastructure, information to users and environmental awareness”.
