With a privileged location and a view over “Praça 8 de Maio” square, “Doce Meu” is the latest pastry-shop, making Coimbra Downtown even sweeter.
From the same owners of the “Flor de Aveiro” pastry, a reference in the neighboring city of Aveiro, “Doce Meu” now offers Conimbricenses and tourists the traditional and conventual portuguese sweets that characterize the “mother house” like the “morgado do buçaco”, “ovos moles”, “castanhas de ovos”, “cornucopias de ovos moles” or the famous birthday cake” the Diplomatic “ which impresses not only for its flavor but also for its beauty.
Inspired by Coimbra and as an homage to the city, they created “Santa Cruz” made with yolk, sugar and almond confit. The best company for your coffee. But what you really can’t miss this Christmas season is the award-winning traditional “Bolo Rei”: with distinctions for ten consecutive years in the national traditional “Bolo Rei” contest, the secret, they say, it’s in the national raw material and in the quality of the 100% natural dough.
The space is inspired by Paris tearooms and keeping the building’s original ceiling created a symbiosis between the modern and the classic. Between “sugar and egg yolks, chocolate chips and colored creams, thin pastry and fluffy cakes”, at “Doce Meu” a genuine and unforgettable gastronomic experience is guaranteed.
